Dedicated Discussion Meetup in Herndon on May 6th

And Other Events

All:

There are a few upcoming events over the next month or so. As a reminder there is a meetup in Rockville this weekend and a downtown meetup on the 29th or April at the Foggy Bottom Pub. I am also announcing another single topic discussion meetup in Herndon on May 6th. The question for discussion will be "Should the development of artificial intelligence be halted?" Details are below. I hope you can come to some or all of these events.

In Gratitude,

Ben Schwab

Spring Schelling Point / Mini Meetups Everywhere

Downtown at the Froggy Bottom Pub on K Street

Saturday, April 29th, starting at 6 PM

Facebook Event for RSVPs and discussion: https://www.facebook.com/events/562820449276368

We've rented the Froggy Bottom Pub again for this Spring's ACX Shelling Point / Mini-Meetups Everywhere. Scott Alexander describes it as:

Since this is not the "come once a year" version, we're guessing we won't fill the place like we did in the Fall. So instead of renting the whole place, we'll be on the restaurant side with some lighter food, soft drinks, and enough space and tables to mingle. As before, alcohol and full meals will be available for purchase from the bar, but no purchases are required.
